tach questions

i know factory tachs are usually off. but since i have the full msd 6al set up even with the tach adaptor should mine still be off? I really hate the looks of the giant 5" tachs. those belong to the ricers as far as im concerned. but if I must make some sort of custom set up to make sure im getting a semi accurate reading I will. so should i be okay as i am? or is the factory tach no good either way?

The factory tach is inaccurate no matter what ignition you have.

If 5" tachs are for ricers I guess the entire race car world are wanna be ricers...

Well where do you think ricers get the idea of using those 5" tachs? Anyway, you could get a smaller tach since you dont like 5" ones, like 3 3/4" or 2 5/8"

If you don't want the tach hanging around the dash, get a rpm activated switch and a small shift light.

+1 just install the shift light in the heater vent on the dash, so only you can see it.

good to know about the tach. and im not saying the tachs arent functional, just far less than aesthetically pleasing.

does anyone know of any links to anywhere that may sell a direct bolt in replacement tach the same size as the stock 86s?
