C4 swap??

Hello, I am planning on swapping a c4 into my 90' Lx in place of the stock AOD. Will the AOD crossmember work? Any other modifications needed?

you can build up aod's to be pretty stout...not as strong as c4's or the boat anchor c6's

Are the manual transmissions in the four cylinder models the same as the V8's ? I found a great deal on a whole 4 cylinder car.

You can make a stout AOD with the right parts. There are alot of people putting alot of horsepower thru AODs. If you drive the car on the highway alot I would stick with the AOD. Drive your AOD around in Drive and not Overdrive for a couple weeks and see how you like your fuel economy and the extra noise. That will be something to consider when switching to a C4.

They are different. Different gear ratios and the 4 cylinder trans is much weaker.
