Installing nitrous tomorrow
Yay this is fun i got the fuel pump, the zex wet kit, the bottle pressure gauge, zex bottle warmer, and purge kit. The only thing is, i heard you have to keep the bottle at 900 psi, is it hard to do that? Do i have to constantly look back at the bottle and make sure its at 900psi? How will i know when to purge and what not?
The kit is pretty, shiny purple, all stainless braided lines, im excited for the 100 foot pound torque increase with just a 75 shot, and when i get the balls for the 125 shot it will be excellent. |

I have a bottle warmer and a purge kit, but will the bottle warmer overheat it? or does it know when to stop?

What warmer do you have? A temperature controled unit or pressure controled unit? If temp controled unit then you will have to turn it off.

It's not a tough as you think. Leave the warmer on for 10 to 15 minutes and it'll be good to go. You really can't overheat it. More psi the better, but not much over 1000 KABOOM

small torch works faster then a bottle heater and won't drain your battery

okay so i guess im good with that, Another thing is, i have a ttaylor battery reolcation in the rear hatch, and its as far back as you can go without interfering with the glass of the hatch, the gas tank was removed to install it. But what i mean is, where is it safe to drill for the nitrous? the adjacent of the right rear hatch? can i just put the bottle in the back left and not worry about hitting shit? let me know, thanks a lot!

its only 3 bolts to drop the tank, 2 for the straps and 1 little one that holds the filler neck, it's much easier in the long run then trying to get bolts up thru the floor with the tank inplace. OR you could do like i've done a few times in the past and mount it sideways between the drivers ( or passengers ) seat and back seat

your nitrous kit should come with a fitting and instructions, basically you unscrew the schrader valve and thread the new one in, be careful NOT to overtighten it or it will break ( speaking from experience )

just snug it, once everything's installed you can turn the key on ( don't start the car ) and check for leaks

Oh i have one more question, to get the psi gauge in my car what do i buy? Is there a kit? just the psi, i have fuel and oil gauges in my cowl. I want it do be like no bigger than a couple inches. Does it T off of the nitrous bottle out? Like a T and then a line and you put it whereever you want? I dont have a lot of money left so i hope to find something for under 100 that will suffice. Even if its used..
