New to site! Need some air pump advice for new project car 89 LX!
Hey guys, I'm new to the site and figured that there was allot of good info here so I decided to join!
That being said I just picked up an 89 LX project car and am trying to sort it out! The precious owner had installed BBK shorty headers, an off road H pipe, and flowmasters.....The cats have been removed as well. He also disconnected the air pump and, for some reason welded the check valve closed. The rubber hose that would have gone to the check valve has not been plugged and you can hear the air pump running! What would you guys advise is the best ( and cheapest) way to deal with this situation? Thanks in advance! |

If you're not worried about emission tests, then bypassing the pump will be fine. All it does is pump air into the cats which aren't there anyways.
