they are the best out of the gt-40 series...... not sure how they hold up to afr, trickflow etc.

I have them. Not bad if you can get them cheap but compare the price to other aluminum heads first. They are the bottleneck in my setup but I still make decent power with boost.
You don't hear about them much because most people don't consider them because new, the price is not much less than other heads that flow more. People either build up a nice set of GT40p heads on the budget end or jump right to AFR or TW heads.

I actually have some that i just finished installing. Cant say much about them because my current setup goes 14.6@96mph. NOt very happy, but im sure the heads will do you just fine. They can be found cheap if youre trying to go budget.

+1 no life is right. most people either do gt-40 or gt-40p's on the low end (like me - gt-40p) or they go to the afr's or tf's

I had a set that came off a crate motor from ford (64cc)... sold them to a guy up north... he has them on a boosted street car and makes very good power... but he had them ported.

With them being Aluminum, you save some decent weight over GT40 or GT40P heads. You do have more opportunity for head lift if you are wanting to run a decent amount of boost. Some ARP head studs should help w/ that. For the price, I'd go w/ some AFR heads.

X heads are decent if you can find them cheap. They don't come anywhere near a TFS or AFR head though.
