Sensor Question


I am trying to track down the ACT sensor. does anyone know where this is? and its primary function?

It should be located in the lower intake on the driver side near #5 cylinder. It purpose is to modify ignition and fuel signals.

inaccurate and less than optimum timing and fuel calculations...possibly even "limp" mode

I don't have a diagram but it should be in the #5 intake port of your lower intake. I'll look to see if I can find you a diagram. It threads in.

the upper intake is removed for photo purposes but does not need to be removed to remove or replace the ACT sensor. the sensor is just behind and to the right of the distributor if you're looking from the front of the vehicle.

air charge temperature sensor...it "measures" intake air temperature so the computer can make fuel and timing adjustments accordingly.
