Economy/sport exhaust

I'm planning to swap my entire exhaust, and with minimum costs. I can throw away catalysators. The plan: long summit headers ( Summit SUM-G9030)$100 and Dynomax Performance 17490 $199.95. Is 2.25" large enough, I have no other modifications yet, maybe camshaft from previous owner. He said that engine had 244hp. Is it too loud with only one muffler per side. I'd like to drive 150 miles to racetrack comfortable, and race a little. Original exhaust is too silent (when showing off) but has uncomfortable sound when driving 60mph.

I Installed A Mac Prochamber And Catback On My 03 Gt And It Sounds Great, Barely Louder Than Stock While Cruisin But Loud And Need When You Get On It. I Dunno How Headers Will Affect It But I Hope The Helps.

You can also get Summit brand H pipe and Summit cat back exhaust. No idea how they sound but they are budget and probably no bad quality either. Whatever brand you get, move up to 2.5, it is only a few dollars more.

Yes, I forgot h-pipe. How about muffler location, before or after rear axle. My earlier car had resonator before axle and muffler after, and sound was what I wanted. But it was small V6 with single 3"->2.5" exhaust

Actually i think my car had the summit cat back exhaust on them (previous owner) and they actually didnt sound too bad. but then again i have a big cam and other mods and also no cats. So i dont wanna promise that they sound decent, plus when i took them off just earlier this week they was enough rust that i couldnt tell if it was summit or not, but that was just my guess.
I actually just ordered Mac Performance exhaust kit cat back 2/5 and 3inch stainless tips for $319.02 (including shipping) just to let ya know. If ya want the website let me know or PM Me, would be glad to help.
