think you'll feel a difference bro. If you're gonna tear it down that far whynot throw an E cam or something in it though? Not too much more to get an e cam and drop it in and I know you'll feel it after that kit w/ a cam.

Is this stuff going on your 02' Mustang? If so im a little confused b/c the 02's have dual over head cams. + that stuff you bought was for a Fox stang, unless you plan on modifing it, or do you have a 5.0L engine now, if so whats your set up now?

ok that sounds like a plan. Should i hold off on the 30 pound injectors? or put them in. I do plan on running at least a 100 shot with in a couple months.

02 gt's had single overhead cams bro. I had 24's on my 91 w/ a lot of mods. I don't see why it would hurt you to have30's on but I'm no expert. W/ a good cam an intake I think you should be ok. Definitely invest in some good heads when you can though. Even if you can find a set of gt40's it'd be better than the stockers.

No it should be pretty decent price wise. My boy picked up a set of steel gt40's w/ 1.6 rollers for like 400. and dude threw in a stage 2 TF cam. E cams are like 100-150 used and a set of alum gt40's I've seen go assembled on forums for like 600-800

Also i dunno about 94-95's but If ya could get your hands on any GT-40's try to get the GT-40P's they are better, and said by some to be "the best free flowing stock head". i believe the came in 98 Explorers and up as well as some mountianeers. But yeah you should deff feel some difference, especially if ya get a new cam and those heads, with that bigger fuel pump to dump the fuel you should be pritty happy, good luck! |

damn thanks novice.....forgot bout the pump.....definitely need to have a 255 for those injectors and mods. If you get gt40ps though be careful cuz you hafta buy special headers for them. The gt40x's are the aluminum "turbo swirl" ones. I'd say you can get all that, if you do your homework and shop smart, for maybe 1500 tops. Search the forum cuz guys on here are always selling good parts for great prices. Great bunch of guys on here who are very helpful. Can almost guaruntee someone on here has something you could use.

yeah i forgot about the GT-40x. If i were you look in junk yards or better yet Craigslist, ive heard a lot of people get them off of there. They might have some miles on them but still anywhere from $200-$600 for the heads. sometimes even already ported and polished

so right.....craigslist is a godsend. You will find great deals on there. Yeah my bud got some regular steel gt40's for 400 w/ cran cams 1.6 or 1.7 gold rockers on them and a Stage 2 TF cam. Just gonna put a gasket match on it and good set of springs and should be a nice setup.

dont put those big ass injectors on your car itll run like shit without major work, 30s are enough to support a 347 with heads you sure as hell dont need them

I don't know...I got 39's on my 01gt and its pretty much stock. Runs great. I've had people say its ok to go bigger cuz then they don't hafta work as hard. Not sure how true it is just what I heard. Plus had 24's on my 306 w/ holley systemax kit and was told I should run bigger before I even put the S/C on it so I'm just not sure. If anything I'd keep them if you don't need them now cuz when you up the power ante then you'll want/need them

I ran 30s on my stock headed car( that was some time ago!), just got a little rich at idle is all, not too bad though. they will be fine. There are a lot of better cams than the e cam to pic from, but I am not sure what you can get away with on the 94-95 cars. I would get ahold of or THUMPER for a cheaper set of oe style heads, but you can save up some cash and get some TFS TW heads for under a grand if you just watch the forums closely, and you will have a set of heads that can grow with your combo...my .02 do it right the first time, save money in the long haul...you wont be disappointed.

You definitely don't need 30's on a stock headed stock cube motor. It won't do you any good, and will possibly do you some harm, because either you will run rich, or you will need an adj. fuel pressure reg. and have to turn it down to get the right A/F mixture. When you spray an injector at a lower PSI, the fuel doesn't atomize as well. Stick with your 19's until you do some mods that call for otherwise, like heads or more cubes.

agree w/ the do it right the first time...when looking for parts try to think ahead and leave room to grow. Instead of buying a part that you'll be almost maxing out w/ a combo take the extra time and money and buy something you can "grow" into.

he's talkin bout doin heads at the same time and the kit he has at the first post comes w/ an adj fuel press reg. I agree w/ you if he's just goin stock block an heads but if he's goin w/ a H/C/I and the usual bolt ons he should be ok w/ the 30's.
