On a side note gt40 heads or gt40p heads? I herd gt40 is aluminum and gt40p is iron and flows a little better. True?

Boost is a relative figure. What you need to be concerned with is horsepower, not boost. 12 pounds of boost from one supercharger can support as much horsepower as 20 pounds of boost on another supercharger. All superchargers are
not created equal. Keep the thing around 400-500 rear wheel horsepower and keep the rpm down and you should be ok. Something like a Vortech S-trim or equivalent with about 10psi will probably work out perfect.
No GT40 does mean aluminum. Standard GT40 heads are iron heads used on 93 and up Cobras, 93-95 Lightnings as well as 96-97 1/2 Explorers and Mountaineers. GT40P heads are iron and used only on 97 1/2 and up Explorers and Mountaineers. GT40X heads are aluminum aftermarket heads that really don't flow much more than a set of GT40P heads. There are some Y heads out there too which are aluminum and have pretty pathetic numbers. There are Z heads out there too that I have physically never touched but I've talked to guys that have used them and they say the heads are killer heads and make good power.
