powerdyne supercharger

i know this is a duplicate thread, but i put it in the wrong place at first.

does anyone know anything about powerdyne superchargers? i have the opportunity to get a great deal on one, but i dont wanna put it in my car if its a piece of junk. ive already looked at their website, and it all looks good, but i just wanted to get some first hand opinions if possible.
thanks

They have this thing for grenading and taking engines apart. I've listened to too many former Powerdyne customers talk about their horrible experiences. I'd stay away.

can honestly say I've never heard anything good about them. Cheap yes but always hear they are noisy, break easy, and the belts slip all the time. now if by good deal you mean 500 bux then sure but hell you can get a good novi kit or vortech or paxton cheap nowadays.

On a side note to this comment, i watched a Powerdyne blown fox go 11.02 @ 120ish. Supposedly the fastest Powerdyne blown mustang in the states.

Stick to whats mainstream. Procharger, Paxton and Vortech. Cant go wrong with any of them these days.

LOL. I remember V1s when they were badass. Nothing is louder than V1s!

I use to own a powerdyne and the belt inside them will shred if you over rev them. I don't know where people got that they are loud, you could barely hear mine. Actually my power steering pump made more noise then it did.

I would never own one again.

I wouldn't put a Powerdyne on anything in my garage. The main draw back is the internal belt and bearing failures. A friend of mine ran one for a couple seasons on his Mustang only because he got it for free. He ran 10.70s or 10.80s with it eventually. The internal belt failed god knows how many times during the short time that he owned it and he had a catastrophic bearing failure. It also made more horsepower with the 6lb pulley than it did with the 9lb pulley. Only thing we could figure is the blower is real inefficient so at anything more than 6lbs of boost the air charge is too hot to make any more power. I would stay far away and look for a Vortech, Paxton or Procharger instead.

Probably because they never owned one.

Probably cause they only flow 800 CFM.
