27" tires fit in every mustang I have ever seen them in. If you had to roll your fenders your wheels do not have enough backspacing. I fit 28" tires on my GT without too much work, but they rubbed a little at the end of the track, 27" should fit on an LX with zero problems.

As for not hooking up, wait till you hit that 150 shot.

If you count installation $200 and $200 for the gears, 27" tires are probably cheaper, should be less than $400.

maybe next time i buy slicks ill get some 27's the gears i am pretty much getting for free cause i am selling mine for the same price i bought the new ones for. and a buddy of mine is putting them in for free so it kinda works out. is a 1" taller tire really that big of a difference compared to going from 4.10 to 3.73?

well, think of how many times your tire spins going down the track, every time it does you go 1 inch farther....it adds up
