got the car dyno tuned today.


i am a little disappointed on the numbers but it drives smooth and runs great. we didnt chipp it cause it would have not been worth the gain for the extra cost. started out with 310hp and adjusted the timing and fuel pressure and the water temp sensor for the computer was on the wrong plug. after everything was done i have 338whp i dont remember the torque i think it was like 368. time for nitrous....

Gotta figure thas at the wheels though. Not too shabby if ya ask me. Good S/C or nitro kit and a good piggyback/chip and you're haulin some serious arse.

347's are good for 375-415 @ the crank
good numbers to the wheels
just shoot it up with a 150 shot and you will whoop some ass

Numbers are low but you could strap it on a different chassis dyno tomorrow and have a totally different number. I wouldn't be too concerned. Who said a chip wouldn't be worth the gain? Kurgan and Post have tuned several cars for several of my friends and they are all seeing pretty impressive gains with those flip chip thingy's with mild combinations similar to yours. If the guy doing the work said it wasn't worth the extra cost I think maybe he is not comfortable with his abilities.

Regardless, there is enough engine there to run mid 11s if you can shift. With nitrous you will be comfortably in the 10s and still probably get 25mpg on the highway.

BTW, what elevation was the dyno at and were those corrected numbers or raw numbers?

His combo is seriously mild, and simple. All the parts are off the shelf. 340rwhp is definately a good number, considering his elevation is about 2000ft. Suprise and Phoenix share roughly the same elevation. Chandler, where PIR is at, is somewhere in the 2200-2300ft range. I live in Tucson, where the lowest point is about 3,000 feet. Much more difficult to make numbers in Arizona, than it is on the east coast.
