Think the power is true?

some guy at a shop said that with a gt40 intake off and expolerer some gt40p heads mildy ported some shorty 1 5/8 mac headers unequal length and an e-303 cam with 1.7 roller rockers he could tune another 200 horse power out of the engine? u reli think this setup would produce that much more power over a stock engine at the crank?

200 extra HP over the stock 225?

Thats absolutely possible, with some Nitrous.

Naturally aspirated? No.

Even the baddest heads, cam and intake combination wont net a 200hp gain. Doesnt matter what exhaust, lack of accessories or tuning you use.

A gain of 200hp is gonna come from increased displacement, Nitrous or FI.

Sure you can. Look at how much horsepower Pure Stock makes with his heads, cam and intake on a stock short block. I agree that it will never happen with GT40 heads though.

Please explain to me why you would need a complete engine overhaul to put a set of heads on it/? You dont haft to rebuild your engine to make some extra hp. A factory shortblock with forged pistons is actually a pretty good foundation for most peoples expected hp goals. And most people dont have the money to build a completely new engine just to net some extra hp.

I agree, I was thinking the same thing as you.

im smellin sum bullshit, but if people keep tellin ya they know what there talkin about and not jokin around with you. Tell him if it dosent make that 200HP gain then he has to pay for it. That sounds like a good plan.
