Is it okay to switch back to conventional after running synthetic for a while?

I'm not sure but I heard you could you just hafta go down to the syn blend for a little then go back to the oil or get it flushed and got to it. Not too sure bout that though cuz I heard synthetic leaves a residual in the cylinders so not too sure how that would work.

Yes you can. You can even mix synthetic and conventional if you want.

common misbelief is that 10 40 is much better than 10 30 because its thicker. well actually if you want something thicker stick with a straight 40 weight. actually you have less viscocity range with 10-30 than with 10-40. so in my opinion go with a flat weight synthetic.

theres a post somewhere on these forums that gives access to an online library for cars and stuff. Username Library password Library, dont know if anyone refers to this... but...

i was reading through the articles and stuff on there and i found that ford tested 5w 30 oil and found it to be better than 10w 30. ill try to find where it said this.
