exhaust ?s
ok so i bought a set of mac shorty headers. They wont bolt tight to my crappy h pipe that i have, so ive came to the conclusion that i have to buy a new h/x pipe. So does anyone know if any my headers will bolt on to any brand of x/h pipe. and in everyone opinion whats better x/h pipe, sound wise and performance wise. if anyone has any brand preferences also let me know.

well the h pipe that was on there was already aftermarket but it was a shitty one i took the car to a shop today and they told me that the h pipe wasnt bent right so it isnt matching up to the new headers it was bent to match my oldones so i have a horrible exhaust leak coming right out of the collector... so i think i may need a new one, plus i think it might make it sound better

do you have an x or h pipe that eliminates them? i belive that if you just buy a regular old h or x pipe it wont bolt right into those shortys, you need atlest a pipe in between, and if your still having trouble just bend that in between pipe some more

I don't know bro I bought a cheap ass h pipe on my car before I went w/ the mac pro chamber and I had the same problem w/ it not mating well but like someone else said you hafta put the headers on w/ everything else dropped then you hafta put either the passenger or driver side on and just snug the bolts hand tight then put the other side on and snug them hand tight then tighten them all up and that should get them to seat right. Thats how I fixed mine anyways.
