tubular k-member concerns

just installed aje's k-member and a-arms. as i was bolting the a-arms on the rear bushing(closet to the fire wall)was sliding forward the more i wrenched. i have not given the bolts a final torque yet because i'm uncomfortable with the looks of the bushing sticking out about an inch or so. has any one else seen this? is this correct? should i be concerned?

Mine did same thing.
I just went and bought some big 1/2" flat washers to stick in there.

1 or 2 on each side as needed worked fine.

That is how it is designed. The bushings compress to the control arms when you tighten the bolt.
