PONYS BROKE AGAIN :( lol
Hey Everyone. So Ive been running the mustang for about 2 weeks now. Its been running great so far. All fluids have been in normal shape. Smoke from the previous blown head gasket went away. Had the coolant pressure checked and it held pressure. So Ive drove it for about 2 weeks from the pressure check. Everytime i drove it OIL,WATER TEMP,FUEL PRESSURE were great and what they were supposed to be. Then one day last week my stater solonoid went out on me. Picked up a new solonoid and started up great.
Last night i drove the pony for about 45min. Then parked it at my buddies house. Chilled in side for about 30min. Put the key in the ignition and started it over. I let it run then i heard this like whining noise. So i turned my key to the off position and the engine was like bearly running. I removed the key and it was still running. I put the key in again and turned it to the run position and it started up but when u would let go it would die down but still bearly run. I removed the key again and it still ran. Popped the hood and the engine was like bearly running and all the pullys were moving prettly slow to almost the point where you can grab it and stop it. So i got a wrench and unpluged the battery wires off the terminals. It then shut off. Didnt want to really start it up again because it was dark out. My buddy and i think the starter was stuck and kept it tryin to run. And im thinkin theres some kind of ignition problem. Lemme kno guys, hopefully its not bad, cuz its going in storage because im getting pissed and restless. PaT #06 |

could be a bad starter solenoid. My buddy had the same problem. It was a new solenoid doin that so we tried ANOTHER one and it worked. Also checked the starter relay. Hope that helps. Don't forget just cuz its new doesn't mean its good. Should be warrantied for that short of time. Doesn't hurt to try if it does.
