alum. driveshaft strength


does any body know how much h.p. a good quality alum. d/s supports?

Several variables....wall thickness, diameter, car weight, trans/rear ratios, etc

I do know that a FRPPs Alum shaft held up just fine with my previous engine that made 620 rwhp in a 3600# car with a C-4 trans and 4.10 gears.

I've gone 9.30s with a 3016 pound car and 740hp with a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft. I did upgrade the rear u-joint to a 1350 style though.
