ball joints

How hard are they to replace? In my repair book it says that I have to replace the whole control arm. Is this true or BS? and Do I have to buy special ones since my car is lowerd?

You need a ball joint press, available from Auto Zone through their tool loan program and obviously a new ball joint $19 - $60 depending on quality. It can be done in the driveway and will take between 1.5 and 2 hours.

PB blaster! Do both of them too, don't just fix the side that broke.
