car dies


ok this has been happenin to me for the past few days.. its not getting any fuel b/c i cant smell it from the pipe.. the filter is good but i think its the pump.. it will turn over just not startin.. i can hear the fuel pump charge the system then stop but just b4 it stops it makes a winding down sound or sometimes it makes a clicking noise when it trys to start up.. what do yall think?

im in socal so its only like 80-85 during the day.. could it be a fuel reg that is goin out.. its still the stock one

its yoru pump.... cause it can still charge but it might not give enough fuel to your car for it to run... mine does the same thing... except mine gives enough for it to run then stal...

it used to do that too.. i would be drivin then as soon as i pushed in the clutch to slow down instead of goin to idle it just dies

yeah my bet is bad fuel pump cause mine did the same exact thing would be driving punch it it would lag then go.... and then slow down so yeah thats your best bet get a fuel gauge regulator and hook it up and check should be somewhere in the thirtys when idoling...

ok listen turn your key so you hear the fuel pump work about 5-7 times then try and if not still then do it 7-10 lol if its about to start its your fuel pump

also if i need a new pump what kind do you recommend? im on limited funds.. Edelbrock 17931 - Edelbrock Mustang In-Tank Fuel Pumps - summitracing.com i was lookin at this one and should i get a new reg too?

i would just replace the whole setup cause you dont want to have to drop it again cause your going to find out its a pain in the ass how much gas do you have?

just get a walbro 255. or the bbk fine to and their both cheap.
