gotta drop the tank. its only 2 bolts fer the 2 straps, i think 1 screw fer the filler neck, and it all falls out. dont break the fuel lines or bend/kink. its easy as shit depending on how much gas is in the tank.

you could go ghetto and cut a hole in the trunk/hatch over where the pump goes in the tank but i sure as hell wouldn't do that

you can drain out the gas with a siphon, or make your own with a plastic bag and some tubing. it's not that hard to change, it's just dirty as hell. were some glasses or goggles because all kinds of dirt and shit is gonna fall on your face from around the tank and straps.

I just did mine - I had the tank down in 5 minutes and the pump swapped in 20. Took me about 15 to put the tank back on by myself. Do it it's easy.

I think there are 3 bolts for the filler neck and also when dropping the tank and pulling out the filler neck from the tank be careful not to tear the rubber gasket. Grease up the gasket before sliding the filler neck back in. It is a very simple job honestly bud. I just jack the tank down slowly after taking off the straps and lower it, pull the plugs and hoses. Might take you two hours man. Not hard to do at all.

It's easy unless the car has been exposed to the crap they put on the midwest roads in the winter time, then it blows.

Filler neck sliding out of old rubber gasket is only pain.
Little WD-40 goes long way on the filler neck coming out easy.

Just drive it around the neighborhood till gas gauge is on E
That takes most of the gas out easy. 1-2gal left in there is no big deal.

Good idea to go ahead and replace that filler neck seal while
tank is down too. Cheap and they prone to leak when old.
