Keep offroad x-pipe or switch to offroad h pipe for my 5.0?
I've heard that after market h pipes are better for stock and mildly built 5.0's. Also, I would like the throatier and deeper sound and more low end torque, not the higher pitch raspy exhaust note. I currently have offroad x pipe with 2 chamber flowmasters and I'm about to install my 1 5/8 bbk unequal length shorty headers. What do you guys think about it?

I have bbk shorties, a bbk off road h and some flows. Great awesome sound. It's nice and deep, and loud, not to loud but you can hear the car comming. It sounds like the h pipe is what your ganna want to pick.

put a Z pipe on, it's the hot ticket !!!
![]() if you want a deeper tone then go with the h pipe , the x pipes tend to have a higher pitch and not that deep growl that the H pipes offer

buy the h and sell the x, that's what i'd do. I'm sure someone will snatch it up from you pretty quick.

Well. For a mildly modified 5.0, I guess the X has 'too much' flow. I have two chamber flows and about to install bbk unequal length shorties. After I save some money, I'll get the MAC offroad H. I'm really not sure if I'm going to keep my x or sell it. My X looks like it is a few years old the most. There are brown spots( not rust) but the bolts and the whole system seems to be in good shape with no leaks. I didn't pay for the x, one of the two previous owners did. I guess the owner that sold the mustang to me.
