i had a 4 cyl t 5 last for over a year in my 86 gt, ( stock motor, speed density, cold air, pullies , welds and mt et streets, 373s and shorties and exhaust ) 13.01 @ 104 i powershifted the piss outta that trans all the time, never did kill it, sold the car to my buddie and he had it for almost a year, traded it to another guy who had it for 6 months and finally sold it to someone out of state , all on the same trans , yet i broke a bran new w/c t 5 on the 3rd pass on drag radials in a low 12 sec car go figure
