Nitrous ?'s


well...it seems my brother has assigned me to build up his 5.0 notch back on his budget. now the Q: how much of a shot of N2O can his motor(w/ stock bottom end) handle w/o going BAMMMMMM!!! so far I've built it simmilar to like mine AFR 185's and Holley systemax intake, 75mm TB, etc . i'm to lazy to realy do the research so I thank you guy's for your imput

you're gonna get a wide variety of answers here but generally 100-125 is ok. 150 will work also but the tune has to be dead-nuts accurate. Not much margin for error. Anything more, you're gonna be getting a 2-piece block

I ran a 200 shot on a similar combo in my 94 for a whole season with no problems.

Just be sure you got enough fuel and dont get greedy with the timming and you'll be ok.

As always...I strongly recommend a loading chassis dyno with a wide band setup to monitor the a/f ratios.
Start small and work your way up with the jets, making the nessisary adjustments as needed to keep the a/f in check.

I sprayed a 150hp dry kit for years as did my brother in law.

Nitrous is safe...Its alot in the tune...

100-125 shot you should be just fine...
