Problem On Acceleration needin some help.

okay so i'm not sure whats going on but i've noticed the past few days in 1st or 2nd gear, if i stomp the gas the car doesn't even feel like i've moved the pedal...then about 2 or 3 seconds later it just takes off...almost like i was clutching it...i thought maybe the clutch was slipping but the rpms don't flucuate at all until the car starts to move...any ideas??

Could be alot of things. Is it bogging? Does it spit and sputter?

no doesn't really bog or spit or sputter, just really feels like you haven't hit the gas yet lol

check engine light on ?

yea the check engine light comes on and off at random.

That would be the first place to start. Check the codes.

the check engine light only comes on while i'm driving the car though. if i stop anywhere it cuts off.

thats probably an issue with the emissions control system. My 91 does the same thing as far as the check engine light. as for the bogging, tps may be bad. can you give any more symptoms?

......and it will store codes. Scan for codes.

fuel pressure.... thats how my fuel pump started to go out when i noticed it then it started stalling....
