new guy tryin to figure out a set up
Ive got a 351 im building for my 86, what cr would one suggest to run for the jug.
I plan on runnin a 150 shot on the motor. I know nitrous likes compression, but too much is also one thing. Friend and I are leanin towards 9-9.5:1 or so would appreciate any input

I am not a expert on nitrous at all but I know that the F-body camaro's can run 100-150 shot on stock internals well the LT1 can that's what my buddy has and does you could go higher in compression is what I am getting at I mean if you have the time to build and put in the right internals you could go a little higher I mean the LT1 runs somewhere in the high 10 to 11:1 area I am pretty sure I mean like I said I am not a expert but I would run a higher compression then 9 for sure that is what I am running for my turbo setup engine I hope this helps man have agood one.

Do you want to run on pump gas? Is that the question? If running race gas isn't an issue, run the compression as high as you can get it.

If you want to run on pump gas while spraying keep the compression at a maximum of 9.5:1. Run at least 92 octane when spraying.

I agree, nothing higher than 9.5:1 on pump gas.
