87 Mustang 5.0 won't start

I bought an 87 5.0 hatchback Mustang 2 weeks ago to fix up. It needs to be repainted and I am replacing carpet, recovering seats, etc. I stripped out the entire interior today including the dash. Now it won't start, it turns over but doesn't fire. It ran perfect this morning when I backed it out of the garage, so I am sure I unplugged a sensor or something. Any ideas of what to check? I plugged the gauge cluster back in but it didn't help. It looks like their is a fuel cutoff switch near the driver side tailight, I pushed it down, is that correct? This is my first 5.0 Mustang so I am not familiar with it yet. I had a 95 V6 coupe for a couple years, and I have had a 2000 V6 coupe (bought new, still have it). I did quite a bit of work on those, so I have a generally familiar with Mustangs but have a good bit to learn on this one.

Thanks

yes that is where the fuel cut off is. When you turn the key, does the fuel pump kick on? if not, the fuel is probably still cut off.

Fuel pump relay is under drivers seat, maybe it's disconnected or a wire has pulled out

I did unplug it when I removed the carpet. I completely forgot about it, I am sure that is the problem. Thanks that probably saved me a couple hours of screwing around...
