AOD Problem

I have a 93 5.0 Hatchback with an AOD. I have put about 200 miles on it since we installed a Transgo shift kit. We went full firm on all the options and put the high rev kit in. We did a quick visual inspection of the tranny while the valve body was out and everything looked good. As far as I know it has the stock torque converter.

Last time I drove it the tranny started acting up. It will just creep forward up to 1800 RPMS in 1st gear (feals like it is slipping), then it catches, chirps the tires (at light throttle) and doesn't slip anymore. 2nd, 3rd, overdrive and reverse are fine. It also take about 5 minutes of driving to heat it up enough to do it, when you first start it cold it is fine. It has the right fluid, and the level is right at the bottom of the hashmarks when warm.

Any ideas of what to check first?

Also, not sure if it related or not, but it does normally bog down real bad when taking off from a stop. I assumed it was unrelated, because it started happening immediately after I put a cold air intake and plumbed the smog pump directly into the h-pipe to help pass emissions. I haven't had a chance to undo it to see if it goes away.
