Got it dyno'd finally


Drove the car 650 miles round trip yesterday for it's tune at Steeda.

Pulled 330 RWHP@ 5700 and 370 RWTQ @ 3500 on their Mustang dyno. It's a start!

One thing I learned - that little Kenne Bell runs hot - I need Methanol injection!!

The funny looking guy ain't me!

The blower was heatsoaking without Meth, so those numbers are with a 6 lb pulley. Stock bottom end - the motor only has 68k on it.

Ahh ok I got ya. those are very good numbers for a stock bottom end. What are you running for injectors and you got it tuned right?

Whens the 347 coming to make double that power

I'm gonna do 9# next year with Methanol. It should see 380ish with that.

Yes - TFS Street Heat heads, and Stage 1 cam, ported stock lower for the KB to sit on. Running 42# injectors in it.

130k miles and 14-15 PSI...

I wouldn't worry about 10 PSI, it probably doesn't make that much boost at the top end anyway.

I'm not familiar with the KB but 330 seems a little low for 6# with TFS heads. Is everything else stock?

Nope - TFS cam, 75mm TB, bigger MAF...

The Steeda guy called it to within 10hp before he even started the car.

My brother in law's car, NA TFS H/C/I and 10:1 pistons was tuned on the same Mustang dyno and cranked out 275 or 280 at the wheels. Figure every 1# of boost is equal to 10-15hp on a KB and it all works out.

Dyno sounds off. Tfs top end should be good for 320 rwhp with the right compression. 275rwhp sounds like frpp and gt40 hci combo.
