octane rating
does a 94 cobra require a higher octane rating then the regular 87 ??

94 im not sure of, 96 says premium only on the guages, you might go up due to shitty ethanol

should say right in the manual and/or gauges. But I can pretty certainly say that you want to put premium 93 in it.......

87 unleaded is fine. No need for 91-93. Even the NON-PI 4.6 cars dont need premium fuel. No where near enough compression or timing to require it.

i once had a high school kid tell me he only used 112 octane race gas in his 99 civic ex (stock except for a header intake ant catback) lol

If timing has been bumped up over factory base setting then, maybe, yes. If bone stock never been mod'd, no.

No. Compression is 9:1. If the timing is advanced you could try 89 or 91 octane but 87 will most likely be fine.
