heater core
im in the about to replace mine but i cant seem to get the blower assembly back far enough to get it out anyone else done this before that can give me some help

You probably don't have all the bolts removed. I 've never done it for this exact same reason..it's a PITA!

Just did it. Don't forget the two nuts that you have to take off from the engine compartment side.

I never dropped the whole blower box I just removed the 2 bolts holding the plastic cover and wedged a couple of sockets to hold it open. it took a while but I bet it is faster than dropping the whole damn thing out. Do youre self a favor and buy the original ford heater core. unless you dig this type of stuff and like to work on cars in the middle of winter
