is this correct???

i tryed searching but came up with nothing. is it possible to have a 302 with a 289 stroker kit with 302 pistons??? because my motor has real bad blow by and i know a guy with a 302 block its been bored and prepped and he said he has a 289 stroker kit to go in the motor. he is asking $100 for the block, crank, rods, pistons, cam, and timing gear. all i need is piston rings and the top end which i have on my motor. if i do get this motor will the 289 cam he says he has work with my stock heads or would i need new springs and retainers? i know i would need lifters and pushrods but is that too much lift for stock springs??
