1987 Mustang cobra "notch back" trade for?

i know ford came out with the cobra in 93 so im guessing he just put the bagde on. I think im going to call him after i get off of work and see was up with this cobra thing, tranny, and who built the motor. i've been looking for a lil project/strip car i figure this would might be a good start. i've been looking far a while now

5500 for a clean notch with a forged bottom end is too much?

stock 5.0's go for upwards of 3500 still

theyre forged stock, he said aluminum intake mani, didnt say which one, and didnt even spell lunati right, AND lied about it being a cobra

I bet he put in 93 cobra engine and thought it had forged pistons (the 93 had hypereutectic pistons) either way I would call him on BS and take him down on price

I would say not too bad of a price on a CLEAN notch but that thing looks like its rattle canned....but hard to say from the pics

I wish the pics were a little closer up so you could see what heads are on that bit...offer him 4 flat... if he doesnt take it mention that you are in a tough situation and eventually say 4500 is the highest possible you can go...
