extra money. what to do?

hey guys i am receive 1600 bucks next month from scholarship money, but because my tuition is paid i will be getting 1600 dollars in a refund check for myself. just looking to see what yall would do with it. heres what i have. edelbrock top end kit with heads intake and cam, 3.73 gears, cold air intake, full exhaust (down pipes are smashed in a lil from the previous owner), shorty headers, 70mm tb and spacer, spacer for upper intake. dyno at 240hp and 260tq. i think the numbers were a lil low because of the lack of fuel, i have all the air flow from the top end, but no extra fuel maybe??

heres what my plans were, subframe connectors, 6 point cage because it is a convertiable and i need one if i run faster than a 13.9, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, world class T5 swap (auto right now), fuel pump (mine is whining). after all those i should still have about 700-800 bucks left over... thinking about saving up a lil and building a 331???

whats your guys' opinion?

not a big turbo fan, sooner or later want to do some sort of forced induction, but not yet. i am too much of a rookie to have that much horse power, i want to learn how to control 300hp before i am running 600hp. my first time to the track will be in a week and a half. i just dont want to have that much hp trying to learn, thats all. i have considered it tho

yea your numbers did seem a little low for the mods you have.... just those heads alone are good for about 50hp or so

You need it for when you have forced induction later so don't sweat it.

Take a pic of what you think is the MAF and post it. I agree with everyone, those numbers are on the low side for having that top end kit. I would get some 24# injectors and a MAF cal'd to them (after you verify that you have a MAF car) and upgrade the fuel pump, then have it tuned. Also, depending on how bad the pipes are crushed in, that could be hurting you too.. take a pic of that too if you can.

255 pump, 24 or 30lb/hr injectors, matching maf, long tubes, shorty off road pipe, udp's only cause you can find a set for like $20... use that adjustable fpr... and then, maybe look for a used bd11a or something, it's easy to install, and it'll push you well over that 400 hp mark when you're ready for it...
