exhaust question


hey guys right now my 1990 mustang lx is in the shop undergoing a tranny swap.. now while thats being done i've been debating on exhaust.. i have 2 problems.. first off my headers i defitnely want to go long tube but is ceramic coating worth the extra 200$cdn? and my other problem is on what muffler, im debating on ither the 40 series flowmaster or the american thunder flowmaster.. would you guys help do a little survey with me and lets see who perfers what.. thanks guys...

SLP loudmouth 1 for the mufflers.

I dont thing my headers a ceramic, in fact, i know they arent. I doesnt matter to me but to some it might.

the american thunder kit utilizes 40-series flowmasters, it just comes with tailpipes as well. those are 2-chambered mufflers and sound pretty good IMO, but i have the 3-chamber flows (like in the force2 kit) and i like them but only with catalytic convertors...without cats i thought it sounded kinda assy. the benefits of ceramic coating are debatable, but i don't think it makes one bit of difference. the purpose is to keep the heat in, but if you think about it, all that carbon build up on the inside of the pipes kinda does the same thing. its definitely not worth $200.
