dss 347 block

i am about to purchase a dss 347 stroker motor. i have an 85 stang with a 93 short block, 650 holley double pumper, edelbrock performer rpm intake, gt40 x turbo swirl heads, lunati custom ground cam 514 lift 518 duration. future plans are for the holley 102 belt driven blower. do you guys have any info on the dss motor and will it work with my mods?

Ofcourse it will work. Have you weighed other options for other engine builders?

do you have a reason why you prefer ford strokers over dss?

i also don't get why you guys are saying a 10 second twin turbo mustang is too expensive at 8000. i looked into a blow through supercharger system that was 7000 and that would put me no where near the tens. that orange mustang seems like a 30,000 dollar race car

What orange mustang? The one in my sig???

And Fordstrokers is just as good, if not better than DSS in terms of quality. The main difference between the two is customer service. The owner of Fordstrokers actually frequents this forum, and shares alot of great information. Im just trying to point you in the best direction, not to say you arent already headed that way.

$8,000 for a 10 second turbo mustang? Thats cheap.

yes i think thats rediculously cheap. i can't see how someone would put that on craigslist for that low of a price if nothing is really wrong with it. thanks for the info with fordstrokers. buying a block is a big expence i don't want to fuck it up lol

FYI the orange mustang in my sig has MUCH MUCH more than 30k invested. Theres more than that invested into the chassis ALONE.

yes i am very misunderstood. i saw a message you posted (probably as a reply to something someone else posted about something for 8000) that you said was expensive. i did not realize until a little while ago that the photo under your post was your car not the car or item that was being discussed. i was extremely confused.

Well, the car i recently started is definately a money pit. I havent been working on it for 11 years, but it definately feels that way. I dont keep cars that long, for them to drain the life out of me slowly.

Im itching to get my intercooler back from the shop..... opps, did i just say that out loud?

A stock block is a stock block is a stock block. $1000 will get you a FMS Sprotsman roller block already line bored and finish honed. While it is not as stout as a Boss block or Dart block it does have alot heavier webbing and is a step up from a stock roller block. It is standard bore 4.000 so you have extra life from the start and room to rebuild once or twice before it becomes an anchor.
