Decreasing power steering pump pressure for tighter steering

Okay my 83 convertible is a bit of a Frankenstein with all the different parts I have but I want to some how reduce the power steering assist on the rack if possible. It is too easy to turn, very little feed back, feelslike the original GLX steering too smooth. I have an 93 GT power steering pump and a rebuilt 1986 GT steering rack (2.5 turns ratio). Original rack was a 3.0 turns ratio, V6 GLX (which I don't think makes a difference as none of it's hardware was carried over).

Is there any way to adjust this to make it stiffer when turning?

Thanks

I had looked at some originally but I wanted to stay with the power unit, I had an 86 GT which the steering felt firm, this one seems to be over assisted. Feels like my mini van!

you can change the large fitting in the pump where the line goes in. It would be trial and error as to how it would help though and what vehicle to get it off of. maybe an Escort or Tempo?

I figured there would be a way, just didn't want to blow a pump or rack in the process.

Thanks
