Battery Wont Charge

My car has been running fine for a while now,but all of the sudden last night the car just died while i was driving home. Today i checked my alt. and battery and both are completely fine. What should i check that leads the power between the two? Its been raining so much here lately almost every day, so it gets wet alot and i have to drive through a foot of water to get to my appt. Any help would be AWESOME thanks guys.

died suddenly after driving through a puddle? possibly could be hydro-locked if you drove thorough a big enough puddle and sucked up a bunch of water. If so, take out all your plugs and crank the engine over until all the water stops coming out of the spark plug holes.

There is a fusible link for the alternator if I remember correctly. I had one go bad a while back. I replaced it and everything worked fine. It should be in the harness between your alternator and starter solenoid.

you were absolutely right!!! Some how that wire just split in half....it looked like it had like three fuse links one right after another. I put it back together taped it up with electrical tape, and all is well now. Where did you get your replacement if you don't mind me asking? Taping worked for now... but i would like to replace it soon to make sure i don't just die while driving down the road one day. Thanks for the help im just glad i fixed the thing!

I think I got it from autozone or advance. You can buy the fusible link and splice it in.
