An inline 6 cylinder or did you mean 4 cylinder? Ford hasn't used the inline 6 since the early 80s and hasn't used V6s since mid 80s. If the car has an inline 6 you will need a different K-member.

Take the computer and harness out of the 88. Everything will swap right over. The engine and trans out of the 88 will drop right in. I recommend swapping the front and rear brakes, springs and rear axle as well because the 5 liter car has heavy duty parts.

All you need is the computer harness from the 5 liter car. You don't need mass air unless you plan on doing some major engine work (big cam, etc.).

You can use a 94-95 brake set up but that is not the only way to convert to 5 lug. You can use Lincoln Mark VII rotors in the front and Ranger driver side axles and drums in the rear.

I heard that the if your setting up the car for drag that its best to leave the 4cyl springs in as they are softer and will expand and give a better launch for the 5.0. Is that true?

Usually you will have idle problems with the stock speed density system (no mass air) and anything other than a stock cam.

I don't think you will need to change the pedal set up but I don't know for sure.

4 cylinder springs in the front are a good low budget spring for drag racing but I wouldn't ever use them in the rear. They hurt more than help in the rear.

100% agreed about the rear, was just curious about the front. Thanks for the input
