noises from engine

hi im new to the site. i have a 92 mustang lx 5.0 5spd when driving i hear a sound like a rusty wheel spinning also a very weak grinding that tends to pause when i hit a bumpy bit of road. i do have an exhaust leak at the header a bolt is missing could that be involved or not really. i would be grateful for any thoughts thanks.

Is your drive shaft rubbing on a brake cable or???. Also maybe your front brake pads wear indicator is making contact. My 2 cents worth.

better, usually, to have a little less gear with power adders 3.55-3.73, but NA 4.10s or 4.30s will do nicely

oh ok, I just thought that if that gear was w/ a turbo/supercharger then you'd be running a very high rpm and not get the full potential (sp?) out of the motor.

Hey i am knew to this thing and i wanted to know can anyone help me out. My clutch is acting really weird. When i drop from 5th to 4th and give it some gas it revs up alot like my clutch is going out. It will also do this when I get higher in RPMs in 3rd. But I can still launch in 1st and give it hell in 2nd. Does anyone have any advice?
