jesus christ do the swap already.

ls1's are cool.. in f bodies.

If you want real fab, get a 4v motor and squeeze it between the fenders. If you have ever driven a cobra, you would change your mind.

I drive a 04 cobra and i still think the ls1 fox body would be cool. Seriously people, he stated this is what he wants to do, and what he IS going to do, if you have nothing productive or positive to add, infractions will be handed out. This thread is getting rediculous....

Truth. The whole "I love ford and hate chevy" or "Chevy rules ford sucks" stuff is so trailer park 1986. Anyone who is truely into this hobby loves cars in general...I own a ford and a chevy.

+1 i didn't start this thread to get your opinions on what's cool or what isn't . i was looking for tech advise from people who have done the swap or knows of someone who has. as always i can thank Darrell for his informative advice. the rest of you need to take your childish behavior to the clubhouse.

Totally! All of the companies have good and bad. Cross breeding used to be unheard of but today it is very common. People that don't like it can choose not to do it. I love when people criticize me for driving GM SUVs. When I tell them that GM makes the best SUVs on the market you should here the bullshit that spews out of their mouths when they try to justify owning a Ford SUV. The die hard Ford guys are just as bad as the die hard Chevy guys that constantly rip on Ford and say "Ford sucks". Narrow mindeness is a terrible thing.

hands down the easiest/cheapest way to go fast in a fox is with a chevy motor. I'm a huge ford guy, but I'm building an lsx fox as well. I went through all the options of cost vs power for my dollar and hands down the lsx is the best option to go the fastest for the least amount of money. more power to him. it's the best of both worlds. I love modulars but they just don't stay together with big boost. I've been through 4 modular motors, I would know. chevy in a ford is not gay, it's unique, and people need to respect a nice car when they see one. why do you think this car is becoming more and more common with this setup? because it works. and quite well I might add. I've seen/heard of stock bottom end ls1's on motor with ported heads and big cam, on a huge diet going 10's...that's impressive. wack it with a 150 shot and you're in the 9's on some good tire.

so to the creator of this thread, I say more power to ya, pun intended.

because that wouldn't happen unless he shelled out a grand for an R block, bought 2k dollar heads for it, and spent more money than just dropping a stock bottom end ls1 in there and saving thousands. even with the swap headers and tubular k, he'd still come out ahead. believe me, I thought like you in the beginning, then I saw the light

do you not agree with that?

i am in no way, shape, or form arguing about which engine is better
not if he goes carbed. it's just as easy. use 4.6 mounts with an aje k-member and it plops right in. no wiring necessary

Are you really saying this when your sig says this:

89 LX 515 hp 497 ftlbs 11.3 @ 125 mph
