Better yet, stock 302 + big single turbo for $3000 = 9s.

Now total up a swap K-member, swap headers, oil pan, swap mounts, serpentine system, bellhousing, transmission tunnel and shifter work, custom driveshaft, + a LS1 + cam swap.

There is noway it is cheaper, ask anyone that has done it.
no stock 302 is going to run 9's with a turbo. period. stock 302 blocks only handle 500rwhp and they ALL eventually split. They're shit. Only way to reach 9's would be sub 2800 raceweight with an R block, aluminum high flow heads with a big turbo and an auto. now you're talking some serious coin...all to "stay blue". Leave the guy alone and get off his balls. You obviously need to stop being so narrow minded and realize you're wrong.

Here's one of the ONLY ways to reach 9's, as I stated prior:

9 Second Nitrous Inhaling 93 5.0 Mustang | WEEK News 25 | YouNewsTV

I have a buddy with a big single turbo and a stalled auto and a 306 and the best time he's pulled is an 11.5@127 out of it in cold weather. Stock blocks can't handle shit man, they crack, they break...stock displacement 5.0's don't make shit for power and don't hold together. It's old technology. Get with the program man.

Here's a guy's coupe and look what it took to run 9's:

A sportsman block, and a huge shot of spray and 347 cubic inches.

9's are not a walk in the park by any means. 10's are a lot easier to achieve.

the guy that got me interested in the swap runs 9.70@141mph. he's running 4.30 gears with a t56 6 speed and crosses the traps in 4th gear. that's a cammed LS1 with a 150 shot in a coupe.
