valve lash

I adjusted the valves on my stang today and it was running mint then the next day i took it out and it felt like shit again so i took the valve covers off and the rockers tightened up rly stiff. i figured it was because it got hot and they tighten up so i readjusted them once the car was running for 30 mins. maybe i dont have solid lifters?

They will be stiff due to spring pressure and lifter preload.

No it doesn't. If they were loose then it would be improperly adjusted. If you don't know how to do adjust lash then you shouldn't be doing it.

Just by reading this post I can tell that you do not know how to adjust lash properly nor do you understand the function of the valve train components. There is a topic somewhere on this site that discusses valve lash. I believe it is one of the sticky posts.

Any of the cam manufacturer's sites will have detailed instructions on how to set valve lash. You need to know whether you have a solid or hydralic lifter cam as well as the cam manufacturer's specs for hot and cold lash. Sounds like your taking a guess at everything. Nothing wrong with learning as you go as long as you learn the right stuff.
