how to improve heater strength and temp?


so i finally got my dash blowin air but its not that strong and my heater isnt that hot so how can i improve it?

You got enough coolant? Are you using a low temp thermostat?

Put a 192 degree thermostat back in it. The temperature of the heater is controlled by engine heat. A low temp thermostat does not produce much heat, not to mention it doesn't benefit you in the least bit as far as horsepower is concerned

i knew it doesnt give hp gains but that it was supposed to increase the live of the engine? also how can i make it blow stronger?

Make sure that the actuator for the flap in the heater box is moving all the way and not sticking. These are vacumn operated.

Just the opposite. It will make the engine live longer. If anything is going to negatively effect engine life it is going to be the 160 degree thermostat because it fools the computer into thinking the engine is always cold. The engine will always run rich because it will always be in warm up mode.

As far as blowing stronger goes, a new blower motor might be the only cure for that. Its hard to tell without seeing it. Or a 16 volt battery like Pure Stock said LOL!

as far as the battery, im running a red top altima battery, that should do the job shouldnt it?
