when you say high compression...what is the actual compression ratio?? and what set up raised the compression from stock (I.E. pistons, rods, cam, etc.)

How do you know it is high compression if you don't know anything about the engine? This is the same engine you bought for $400 or so and don't know anything about isn't it? If you put pump gas in this engine then it is not high compression. The only way to know is to figure it out mathmatically which I'm reasonably sure you don't know enough about this engine to cover all of the factors of the formula.

No, a blower or turbo will not work with a high compression engine.

A compression test will not net enough information to compose a theoretical compression ratio. You will need much more than just static cylinder pressure.

A cranking compression test has nothing to do with the compression ratio. To figure the compression ratio you will need to pull a cylinder head off and you will need some accurate measuring devices. You will need to know bore, stroke, head gasket compressed thickness, head gasket bore, piston height in relationship to the deck surface, piston dome or dish volume, volume above top piston ring and combustion chamber volume.

You need to know bore, stroke, piston deck height, head gasket thickness, piston dish / dome volume and combustion chamber size to figure CR

your gonna have to tear it down or find out from whoever put it together. dont be surprised if you pop the head off and the pistons are stock. unless they changed pistons the only other way would be smaller comb chamber either with diff heads or stock ones milled down. you gotta take it apart or dont worry bout it.

It doesn't add up for me. I've run a couple different combinations thru it and come up with lower compression then what the engines actually had.

Taar it down and look at it, and do the math. It's not rocket science.
