Front Brake Rattle

my front brakes rattle now and i dont know how to go about fixing them,.. I had the wheels off to take a look and when I jostled them with my hands they produced the same clacking noise. Anyone familiar with this, or may it just be time for new calipers?

are the pads the right ones or are they too small and sliding around in the calipers?

Maybe the bolts that hold the caliper to the spindel are worn?

it may be that they have worn the calipers from being loose and driving like that....when the bolt goes through the caliper and bolts to the spindle is the bolt fit snug through the hole on the caliper? if not maybe try new bolts to see if they are worn ...if that doesnt do it then you are prolly gonna have to buy new calipers

check to see if the brake pads are loose on the brackets, the pads are bonded and rivited to the bracket, when the pads get hot the bonding brakes down and the only thing holding the pads on are the rivits and they chatter
