coil plug

How many wires are supposed to be going to the coil plug. I know there is one green with a yellow stripe 'neg' and one red with a green stripe 'pos' but my old harness '' speed density''has two neg wires and one pos. wires, but my new 89 harness only has 2 wires going to it.

Thanks man. I thought so. but i wasnt sure. Being my age i dont know everything and haft to depend on you guys sometimes. It wasnt added it was a factory wire thats why it confused me. My car will be running next weekend. Then it will be time to start saving to call jay allen and get a diff cam, heads and a little nitrous.

I think im either gonna go with torque thrust 2's, prostars or a one of centerline new competition wheels.
