putting my plugs wires back on.

whats up guys friday was my birthday and some of my friends thought they'd play a prank on me after they borrowed my car to run to the store and they switched my plug wires all up and told me the car quit running. well we laughed or whatever..but turns out they one that did all the switching was drunk..and no longer remembers what wires he put where...well i can put the wires back on the correct cylinders, but someone said that i'd have to set the motor to TDC in order to do that. I don't really see why since the dizzy would still be turned to the correct cylinder just the wires are mixed up on the cap.
