icv ?

here lately my idle has been really rough and jumping between 600-and 1200 rpms, also been getting really bad gas mileage. so i took my ICV off yesterday and cleaned with carb cleaner. its doin the same thing. also on tha way home my throttle body stuck open around 2000 rpms NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE. i took my inlet off and my MAF. so i could make it home. i figured it wouldnt make it without the MAF on but it did and i didnt have any idle problems??? im so confused some one point me in tha right direction on if i should keep it off or what... also i have a MAP sensor on the firewall and i thought you could only have a MAF or a MAP sensor...not both.

sounds like vacuum leak... check your vacuum lines & air intake boot. when you unplugged the air meter you put your car in "limp home" mode causing it to run at factory settings in the ecu...hard to clean air valves... u lucky if a new one works right 50% of the time(especially aftermarket)...
