went to track

hey went to the track friday night, ran a 14.0. first time doing it, thats to explain my 1.2 sec reaction time. didnt hook up much 2.3 60ft. each time i shifted into second the tires would break loose for about five seconds, and my posi was not working, but fixed it saturday. going to the track this saturday again, anyguys in mid michigan im going to Lapeer international raceway. hopeing to break into the mid 13's but im not getting any better tires just hoping i can get a lot better reaciontime and with both tires turning a lil more traction

edlebrock top end kit, dont have cam specs i bout the car the way it is. 3.73 gears, full exhaust, CAI, 70mm throtle body.. ect nothing to crazy made 240hp and 265tq at the wheels. i just took off all of the compnents for AC, Air Pump, and EGR, think i have and a vacume leak this whole time cause it idles a lot smother than it did. getting a larger fuel pump, injectors with MAF, and fuel press regulator, would like to tune it and achieve about 300hp with the combo. also need some better hook outback, not sure what im going to do yet

Those numbers are really low. Are you on stock injector and maf? If so get some 24 pounders, 255 walbro, nice maf. Hows the car run?

Do reaction times figure into your 1/4 times? I heard you could wait at the lights for a long time and the time wouldn't start until you moved? Have I been completely BSed here?

Don't worry about the tree.. sit there and go when your good and ready it won't effect your 1/4 time.

Purchase some dr's because a stock fox mustang has issues with traction so one with a top end kit plus is going to be a waste of time at the track with out good tires.

Your numbers seem really low... that kit requires a larger fuel pump and should be around the 300hp range already which means you should upgrade your injectors to 24lb's

heres and up date for track info

.889 reaction time
2.0 60ft
13.475@104mph

and the reason my hp and tq numbers are so low is because the stock fuel system. my fuel pump is going out as we speak, whining is what its doing. and i have stock MAF/fuel injectors and no fuel press regulator. so once i do those i should be close to 300 when i get done tuning and have the right fuel delivery.

Get those 60 foot times down and you could hit high to mid 12's.
